How the Program Works

• Angler must be fishing Ontario Waters as per the Ontario Recreational Fishing Regulations Summary


• Fish must be from the nineteen (19) listed species for the program


• Fish must be equal to or longer than the posted minimum length for that species ( Click here for a list of minimun lengths ).


• Entries that are equal to or longer than the photo length will require a photo for validation


• Fish must be caught in the same fishing season as they are being entered ( i.e. 2012 catches will only be accepted in 2012 )


• Angler must fill in their entry form online ( via a free online account ) or by postal mail to be recognized for their catch


• Once an entry has qualified the angler will receive a FREE personalized award certificate, along with an award program decal.


• They will also have the option to purchase an Award Pin and Crest for only $10.00 ( taxes included ).

NOTE: Anglers that qualify in at least five (5) of the ten (10) categories will have their superior angler abilities recognized with the OFAH Ontario Avid Angler Award. This perstigious award includes a FREE personalized Avid Angler Award Certificate and an Avid Angler Pin. The Avid Angler Award will be distributed at year's end.
